Life Safety Services Technicians are responsible for inspecting, installing, and repairing passive fire protection systems. Our team provides expert services that deliver peace of mind to our customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Travel extensively with opportunities for career advancement
- Test the operability of fire and smoke dampers in accordance with NFPA codes
- Making non-accessible dampers accessible
- Inspect firewalls in compliance with NFPA codes
- Provide accurate documentation for customer code compliance
- Maintain professional, timely communication with customers
- Participate in job training activities, including on-the-job training

Requirements:
- Perform high-quality work within deadlines, both independently and under supervision
- Maintain a professional appearance
- Work effectively as part of a team or individually
- Communicate and coordinate with colleagues, customers, and supervisors
- Demonstrate excellent customer service skills and experience working with the public
- Preferential qualifications: mechanical, HVAC, electrical repair and installation; carpentry, drywall, and insulation knowledge; firestopping methodology experience
- Able to interpret blueprints
- Experience climbing ladders, scaffolds, and high-lift equipment (max load of 250 lbs.)
- Work in confined spaces such as ducts, crawl spaces, and above ceilings
- Good record-keeping skills
- Track inspections in facilities
- Proficient in computer software (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- OSHA 10 certification preferred
- Valid driver's license
- 21 years of age (due to insurance requirements)
- Pass background and drug tests
- Rotating travel schedule includes 10 days away, 4 days at home
