Description
Life Safety Services Technicians are responsible for inspecting, installing, and repairing passive fire protection systems. Our team provides expert services that deliver peace of mind to our customers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Travel extensively with opportunities for career advancement
• Test the operability of fire and smoke dampers in accordance with NFPA codes
• Making non-accessible dampers accessible
• Inspect firewalls in compliance with NFPA codes
• Provide accurate documentation for customer code compliance
• Maintain professional, timely communication with customers
• Participate in job training activities, including on-the-job training

Requirements:

• Perform high-quality work within deadlines, both independently and under supervision
• Maintain a professional appearance
• Work effectively as part of a team or individually
• Communicate and coordinate with colleagues, customers, and supervisors
• Demonstrate excellent customer service skills and experience working with the public
• Preferential qualifications: mechanical, HVAC, electrical repair and installation; carpentry, drywall, and insulation knowledge; firestopping methodology experience
• Able to interpret blueprints
• Experience climbing ladders, scaffolds, and high-lift equipment (max load of 250 lbs.)
• Work in confined spaces such as ducts, crawl spaces, and above ceilings
• Good record-keeping skills
• Track inspections in facilities
• Proficient in computer software (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• OSHA 10 certification preferred
• Valid driver's license
• 21 years of age (due to insurance requirements)
• Pass background and drug tests
• Rotating travel schedule includes 10 days away, 4 days at home
