HOURS: Monday through Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm, occ/wkend, on -call as needed

SALARY: Dependent on experience and qualifications
RESPONSIBILITIES: Arise Youth Center provides services as alternatives to locked detention for youth involved in the juvenile justice system. These services include Shelter Care, Reception, Evening Report Center, Case Management, and services to run away and homeless youth. The Program Director is the hub of this fantastic array of service teams and oversees overall program structure, including policies, procedures, supervision and development of staff. Arise Youth Center is a partnership with Minnehaha County and the Program Director communicates and collaborates with various community stakeholders and partners. Arise Youth Center has proven success in supporting youth and their families as they move through the juvenile justice system.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have:
- Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written)
- Strong presentation abilities for various audiences
- Diplomatic approach to handling sensitive situations
- Professional and compassionate demeanor, with sensitivity to special needs and cultural differences
- Effective reasoning and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage program operations efficiently
Additional Requirements:
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in an accredited behavioral or social science field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Master’s degree in social work or a related field preferred
- Social work or counseling license preferred
Experience:
- Minimum of two years of relevant experience
Other Requirements:
- Must have a valid driver’s license and meet agency auto insurance requirements
- Must not have a substantiated report of child abuse or neglect on record
- Must pass applicable criminal background checks
