Position Summary
The Department of Physiology in the School of Medicine at LSU Health Sciences Center in New Orleans, LA seeks to hire an academic faculty position at the rank of Instructor (non-tenure, research track). The Instructor will provide research support for the Comprehensive Alcohol Research Center. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated extramural funding at the pre and postdoctoral level, research experience in alcohol and muscle pathophysiological mechanisms, strong evidence of scholarly activity reflected by peer-reviewed publications in the field of alcohol, muscle metabolism, and the link to metabolic dysregulation. Experience conducting human subject studies, and knowledge of IRB regulations is highly desirable.
