Position Summary
Under the supervision of Dr. Linda Oge, Family Medicine Section Chief and Rural Scholars Track Director and Clerkship Director(s), incumbent will provide administrative support and coordinate all aspects of the student clerkship program(s). Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: handle the scheduling of student educational rotations and assignments to hospitals and faculty; coordinate student education schedules with staff and faculty for each block: lectures, interest meetings, small groups, preparatory courses, simulation labs, clinical rotations; prepare syllabi and other course materials and educational activities; coordinate day to day operations of the Rural Scholars Track Program of third and fourth year medical students from the New Orleans School of Medicine on the campus of University Hospital and Clinics (UHC) Assist students as needed with any problems involving RST including curriculum, testing, grading, placement, preceptors, defaulting, etc.; provide administrative support for the RST site director; schedule and attend all faculty meetings; provide department communication, take minutes and any supporting documents that are necessary; and coordinate any communication with outside preceptors and staff.
