What are the responsibilities and job description for the Instructor position at LSU HEALTH SCIENCES CENTER-SHREVEPORT?
The Physical Therapy program at Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center in Shreveport, Louisiana (LSUHSCS) invites applications for a full-time, 12-month tenure or non-tenure track faculty position at the rank of instructor, assistant professor, assistant professor-clinical, associate professor, or associate professor-clinical to serve as a core faculty member at a new off campus instructional site in Lafayette, Louisiana. Rank and salary are commensurate with experience and qualifications. The anticipated start date for this position is in January 2026, with the first cohort of students beginning May 2026.
The program at LSUHSCS is accredited by SACS and CAPTE to offer the DPT degree and is in the process of seeking approval for an off-campus instructional site with a hybrid curriculum. This position is a full-time faculty member of the LSUHSCS faculty and reports to the program director in Shreveport. The faculty member will have teaching, scholarship and service responsibilities, in addition to student advising once a cohort is enrolled. The faculty member will also assist the Director of Clinical Education in Shreveport with clinical placements for the Lafayette cohort.
