What are the responsibilities and job description for the Student Worker position at LSUHSC?
Our team is seeking a graduate (Master’s or Doctoral) student Research Assistant (RA) to support our portfolio of projects exploring HIV risk among sexual minority women. The RA will be responsible for assisting in Institutional Review Board (IRB) application materials, recruiting and enrolling study participants, implementing qualitative data collection, and qualitative analysis. We are seeking an individual who is self-motivated, possesses strong organizational abilities, can manage multiple tasks, and adhere to deadlines.
Enrolled part-time and in good academic standing.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist with development of IRB protocol, consent forms, and submission process.
- Assist with recruitment and enrollment of study participants for in-depth interviews.
- Conduct one-on-one in-depth interviews with participants on Zoom (experience required).
- Assist with coding and analyzing qualitative data (NVivo or similar software experience preferred but not required).
- Input and manage data in OneDrive, Excel, Qualtrics, or similar systems.
- Contribute to reports, publications, and project summaries.
- Attend regular meetings with project leads and community partners.
