In this individual contributor role, you will play a key part in ensuring our shipments are scheduled, prioritized, and delivered efficiently—keeping our customers happy and our operations running smoothly.
Requirements
What You’ll Do:
- Coordinate & Prioritize Shipments – Work closely with customer service representatives, distribution leadership, and carriers to ensure all orders are scheduled efficiently, meeting or exceeding service level agreements (SLAs).
- Optimize Routing & Scheduling – Use scheduling software and routing guides to plan shipments, meet delivery windows, and ensure carrier compliance.
- Facilitate Smooth Operations – Notify operations leaders of any changes in scheduling and shipping windows requested by customers or carriers.
- Manage Documentation – Create bills of lading (BOL), customs documents, and shipment rates while ensuring all records are accurate and up to date.
- Ensure Carrier Compliance – Check in and sign out carrier drivers professionally, generate billing upon pick-up, and monitor adherence to routing requirements.
- Support Small Package Shipments – Process shipments via FedEx, UPS, and USPS while managing last-minute delivery needs.
- Drive Efficiency & Accuracy – Proactively communicate carrier appointment issues, maintain an organized workspace, and support facility KPIs related to safety, quality, and productivity.
- Stay Compliant & Informed – Follow all safety protocols, complete required training, and keep documentation in line with company retention policies.
- Be a Team Player – Take on additional responsibilities as needed to support the success of the distribution center.
- Experience in logistics, scheduling, or a related field (preferred, but not required)
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Proficiency in routing software, scheduling tools, and Microsoft Office
