As an Inventory Control Researcher within our distribution center, you will play a crucial role in analyzing and optimizing inventory management processes to support our operational efficiency and customer satisfaction goals. You will be responsible for conducting research, analyzing data, and implementing strategies to improve inventory control practices within our distribution operations.
Research and Analysis: Conduct in-depth research on inventory management trends, industry benchmarks, and best practices within distribution centers. Analyze data related to inventory turnover, accuracy, shrinkage, and other key metrics to identify opportunities for improvement.
Process Optimization: Collaborate with warehouse and logistics teams to evaluate current inventory control processes and identify inefficiencies or areas for improvement. Develop and implement strategies to optimize accuracy during processing.
System Evaluation and Enhancement: Assess the effectiveness of existing inventory management systems (e.g., WMS) and recommend enhancements or upgrades as necessary. Work with IT and operations teams to implement system improvements and ensure seamless integration with warehouse operations.
Performance Monitoring and Reporting: Prepare regular reports and presentations to communicate findings, trends, and recommendations to distribution center management.
Continuous Improvement Initiatives: Stay abreast of technological advancements and industry trends in inventory management and distribution logistics. Lead or participate in continuous improvement projects aimed at enhancing inventory control processes and operational efficiency.
Education:
High school diploma or GED. 2 years of work experience may be accepted in lieu of high school diploma or GED
