Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Financial Controller at the Lt. Col. Matt Urban Human Services Center of WNY. The Financial Controller will be responsible for tasks such as managing financial statements, utilizing analytical skills, financial reporting, accounting, and overseeing financial operations to support the organization's mission and programs.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
1) Manage all agency finances and ensures fiscal integrity working under the guidance of the Chief Financial Officer.
2) Manage team of 2 in accounting department to ensure deadlines are met.
3) Lead in banking relationships and conducts all banking transactions for agency.
4) Weekly cash flow reporting and forecasting.
5) Maintains General Ledger and performs month end close and bank reconciliations.
6) Ensures Monthly Grant Vouchering deadlines are met and thorough forecast analysis completed for budget to actual to ensure full spend down.
7) Maintain tight control of contract deadlines, fiscal obligations. Meet with program monitors from funding agencies. Complete annual filing requirements.
8) Oversight and preparation of MWBE requirements and reporting.
9) Strong business partner with Program Managers with regular budget meetings and assistance with Grant Budgets and contract renewals
10) Oversee processing of rent checks for several residential properties.
11) Prepare monthly financial statements for Non-Profit and affiliated C-Corp.
12) Creates and maintains quarterly Grant Allocations
13) Work with Executive Director on Annual Agency Budget.
14) Liaison to the Agency’s independent auditors, preparation of all documents and review of Form 990, CHAR 500, Corporate Tax Return.
15) Report to Board of Directors monthly regarding financial matters.
BS in Accounting or Finance
Non-Profit experience
8 years related experience, including 2 years of management experience
