Position Summary :
The Financial Analyst, LT Corp is responsible for supporting the company financial planning and reporting, budgeting, audits, financial performance and overall financial health of LT Corp and its family of operating companies. The Analyst is responsible for the monthly financial close process, variance analysis, and month end financial reporting. This position requires a strong understanding of GAAP, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to work collaboratively across the organization to drive continuous improvement and support strategic decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
- Participate in the monthly financial close process, ensuring all financial transactions are recorded accurately and timely.
- Support the monthly analysis of current month and YTD variances vs. budget, gathering information from key stakeholders.
- Uphold and improve the internal controls environment, safeguarding data integrity and ensure accurate financial reporting.
- Prepare journal entries with well documented support, monthly balance sheet reconciliations, and assist in monthly balance sheet review.
- Support the external audit and ensure any areas of improvement are addressed and the completion of the annual external audit is timely.
- Ensure all accounting activities comply with GAAP and sound business practices. Research and maintain current knowledge of GAAP standards and upcoming changes.
- Participate in the development of the annual budget.
- Analyze monthly plant performance and participate in monthly performance reviews, providing recommendations to improve financial performance
- Provide support and analysis for evaluating capital investment decisions and potential returns
- Coordinate the collection of capital expenditure and other financial data across all business units and collaborate with finance leaders to effectively communicate performance metrics to business leaders.
- Work collaboratively across the organization to evaluate and improve operations, maximize capabilities & efficiencies, and enable good financial decisions.
- Support posting of payroll and cash entries as well as adjustments identified through reconciliation process.
