Job Description:

LT Leon Associates is seeking a seasonal Land Survey Technician to assist survey crews in collecting field data for engineering and construction projects. This entry-level position is ideal for individuals who enjoy working outdoors, learning new technical skills, and supporting land survey operations.

The Land Survey Technician will work under the guidance of a Professional Land Surveyor to operate equipment, set up survey instruments, and assist in land measurements. No prior experience is required, but a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and willingness to learn are essential.

Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

· Assist survey crew in measuring distances, angles, and elevations using survey instruments.

· Set up and operate tripods, GPS equipment, levels, and total stations.

· Mark survey points using stakes, rods, and other field markers.

· Carry, transport, and maintain survey tools and equipment.

· Examine legal records, survey records, and land titles to determine property boundaries.

· Perform basic calculations and note-taking under the direction of experienced surveyors.

· Clear brush, dig, and prepare sites for survey work as needed.

· Ensure accurate data collection and recordkeeping.

· Assist in processing collected data and prepare any required daily reports.

· Follow safety protocols and field procedures at all times.

· Assist in preparing and organizing survey materials for fieldwork.

· Occasional travel for site visits and client meetings.

· Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

· High School diploma or equivalent

· Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.

· Must be able to lift and carry survey equipment (up to 50 lbs.)

Skills

· Prior experience in land surveying, construction, or fieldwork is a plus but not required.

· Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and walk on uneven terrain.

· Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and ability to follow instructions.

· Basic understanding of measurements, math, and mapping concepts preferred.
