Position Summary
County Toppers, your go-to truck, Jeep, and SUV accessory store, is seeking a Retail Sales Associate/Parts Installer to provide exceptional customer service, assist with product selection, and perform basic automotive installations.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Assist customers in selecting the right accessories for their vehicles.
- Learn and share product knowledge to help customers make informed decisions.
- Perform basic installations of truck and SUV accessories, including 12-volt wiring, suspension leveling, and lift kits.
- Utilize computer systems to look up parts, process sales, manage inventory, and assist with social media management, including updating product listings and engaging with customers online.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Basic automotive mechanical aptitude, including the ability to use hand tools.
- Knowledge of 12-volt electrical wiring is a plus.
- Proficiency in Excel, and online distributor systems.
- Web design and social media management experience (preferred but not required).
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- 1 year of mechanical knowledge (preferred but not required).
- 1 year of automotive repair or diagnostics experience (preferred but not required).
Physical Requirements:
This position requires being able to lift and carry up to 60 pounds, work comfortably with hand and power tools, and stand for extended periods in a fast-paced environment. This role requires frequent bending, reaching, stooping, kneeling, and crouching to access tools, parts and installation areas. The ability to perform repetitive tasks and work in various environmental conditions, including heat, cold, and exposure to dust or automotive chemicals, is essential.
