Job Title: Business Analyst (with Guidewire and P&C Insurance experience)
Work Location: Phoenix, AZ / Richmond, VA (Hybrid – Onsite)
Job overview:
- We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Business System Analyst with strong Property & Casualty (P&C) insurance experience.
- Guidewire expertise and proficiency in SQL
- The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and writing skills and will be responsible for analyzing business requirements designing solutions and ensuring the successful implementation of systems
Key Responsibilities:
- Business Analysis: Conduct thorough analysis of business requirements and processes to identify opportunities for improvement and optimization
- Guidewire Expertise: Utilize your deep knowledge of Guidewire software to design configure and implement solutions that meet business needs
- SQL Proficiency: Develop and execute SQL queries to extract manipulate and analyze data for reporting and decision-making purposes
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with stakeholders including business users IT teams and vendors to gather requirements define solutions and ensure successful project delivery
- Documentation: Create detailed documentation including business requirements functional specifications and user guides to support system implementation and maintenance
- Communication: Demonstrate excellent communication skills to effectively convey complex technical concepts to nontechnical stakeholders and ensure clear understanding of project goals and deliverables
- Project Management: Manage and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously ensuring timely delivery and adherence to quality standards
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in business administration information technology or a related field
- Experience: 12 15 years of overall experience in business analysis with a strong focus on PC insurance and Guidewire software
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in SQL and experience with data analysis and reporting
- Communication Skills: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with the ability to articulate complex concepts clearly and concisely
- Problem Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to think critically and propose innovative solutions
- Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and build strong relationships with stakeholders
- Location: Preference will be given to candidates based in Richmond or willing to relocate
