Role: Hardware Qualification Engineer

Work Location:

Bellevue, WA

Responsible for the qualification of industry standard DIMM, SSD, and HDD within Enterprise Server Computers. This job entails:

• Providing guidance to Program Managers on the scheduling and execution of testing.
• Working with engineering groups, system integrators and component suppliers to identify, triage and resolve test failures.
• Debugging hardware, firmware, and software issues.
• Developing scripts to automate test execution using PowerShell and Python.
• Developing functional and performance test cases to ensure the proper operation of industry standard DIMM, SSD, and HDD within Enterprise Servers.
• Assisting the lab team in resolving and triaging issues blocking test execution.

The required skills for the job are:

• Experience testing Enterprise Servers or industry standard server components such as DIMM, SSD, and HDD.
• Strong understanding of industry standards such as DDR4, DDR5, NVMe, PCIe, and SATA.
• Experience with test script development in PowerShell and/or python.
• Strong debug skills with proven experience debugging complex computer issues at the hardware, firmware, and software level.
• Good understanding of Enterprise Server architecture.
• Experience developing individual test cases and higher-level test plans.
• Experience working across teams to ensure test execution.
• Proficiency in Windows Server Operating System.
• Experience in platform level test architecture and usage of debug tools like (ITP, Arium, ARM JTAG tools or equivalent)
• Expertise with test tools such as performance benchmarks, IO stress tools, memory stress tools, test execution and bug management tools.
