Role: SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central Payroll Consultant
Location: New York, NY
Fulltime
(Hybrid - 3 days onsite per week)
Job Description:
- Support large, complex Payroll production environment with benefits, tax, and time interfaces in SAP SuccessFactors EC and ECP.
- Onsite presence required minimum three days a week at 1515 Broadway, NY.
- Provide day-to-day support of payroll run cycle for 20 payroll areas.
Responsibilities:
- Provide end-to-end production support for a complex union-based daily payroll lifecycle environment.
- Review periodic SAP notes/patches/HRSP, evaluate and apply to SAP SuccessFactors landscape.
- Evaluate TUBs delivered by BSI and coordinate production deployment.
- Configure, customize, and implement new Payroll modules/functionality as required.
- Produce solution design, documentation, and successful delivery of Employee Central Payroll.
- Plan, manage, deliver, implement, support, administer, and/or monitor SAP integration solutions and middleware.
- Monitor batch jobs and address production support issues.
- Understand business requirements, develop detailed functional design, create test plans, and help with production deployment.
- Coordinate activities with other IT teams.
- Implement solutions based on functional specifications and resolve issues independently.
- Ensure technical objects are smoothly imported to UAT and Production.
- Focus on Payroll functional consultation as part of the development team for production support.
Basic Qualifications:
- Minimum 8 years of experience with payroll/HR departments using a large, complex SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central Payroll system.
- Extensive experience in configuring and custom development with excellent ECP functional skills.
- Deep knowledge of SAP EC payroll configurations, wage type setups, BSI tax setup including Tax Factory and Tax Profile Factory.
- Hands-on experience integrating multiple systems like ADP, Bank, SAP FI, 3PR, and PCC functionalities.
- Understanding of Payroll & HR business areas, including related policies and procedures.
- Experience with HCM, FI RICEF objects, and applying HRSP and BSI updates/patches to SuccessFactors ECP applications.
- Knowledge of SuccessFactors HXM suite, Payroll Command Center, and EC to ECP replication.
- Ability to write functional specifications, program, test, and manage modifications through quality assurance and change control processes.
- Experience with GL integration with multiple ERP finance systems including ECC and Oracle EBS.
- Good knowledge of Benefits Module, Time Management, Payroll-related Info types, Payroll status record, Payroll control record, and posting data to FI.
- Working knowledge of SAP development tools and methodologies, including ABAP workbench, BAPI/IDOC, ALE, Reports, Workflow, Smartforms, ABAP upgrade, and enhancement techniques.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
Additional Qualifications:
- Knowledge of union payroll is preferred.
- Proficiency in SAP security and basis admin functions.
- Demonstrated problem-solving and continuous process improvement skills.
- Strong understanding of the software development life cycle.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong production support troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively in a collaborative environment.
- SAP certification is a plus
