What are the responsibilities and job description for the CNC Mill Programmer/Specialist position at LTP Precision?
Duties:
- Program, Set up and operate CNC machines to perform machining operations according to specifications
- Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and job orders
- Select and install cutting tools, adjust speeds and feeds, and make machine adjustments as necessary
- Monitor machine operations to ensure quality and efficiency
- Perform routine maintenance on machines, including cleaning and lubricating
- Inspect finished products for accuracy and adherence to specifications
- Assemble components using hand tools or power tools as required
- Use precision measuring instruments such as bore gauges and coordinate measuring machines to verify dimensions
Experience:
- Minimum of 5-20 years of experience as a CNC Programmer/Machinist
- Proficiency in 3D CAM software required
- Knowledge of plastics injection mold building is a plus
- Understanding of lean manufacturing principles is desirable
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and engineering drawings accurately
- Strong attention to detail and ability to perform precise measurements
