JOB TITLE: Congressional Support Analyst Mid-Level Full Time Contract

POSITION TIMING: Immediate hire upon Contract Award and completion of all background and security investigations. Candidates must be willing to sign a Letter of Intent for submission with their resume.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

The responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Drafting and preparing various types of communication such as correspondence, reports, memorandums, presentations, and other materials for distribution across multiple organizations as directed.
  • Reviewing outgoing correspondence for signatures from designated staff members, the supervisor, or other senior managers, ensuring proper formatting, accuracy, and adherence to procedural guidelines, grammar, and typographical correctness, including verifying attachments. Managing the tracking and monitoring of correspondence within authorized databases to ensure compliance with all suspense deadlines. Distributing correspondence in alignment with established guidelines and procedures.
  • Planning, coordinating, and organizing both onsite and offsite events/meetings for the assigned headquarters organization. Arranging for venue spaces and submitting necessary presentations as required by supported staff within the given time frame. Organizing and securing needed equipment (such as projectors and computers) for briefings and operating this equipment as needed. Taking attendance at meetings when necessary and drafting and distributing meeting minutes as required. Final decisions on event management rest with the Government.
  • Overseeing a wide array of communications to provide recommendations to the assigned headquarters organization regarding scheduling decisions. Gaining a comprehensive understanding of the mission, objectives, and organizational structure (both onsite and offsite; including Federal and contractor staff) within 60 days, in order to improve the effectiveness of communication and collaboration.
  • Creating meeting minutes and developing presentation slides for meetings and conferences.
  • Maintaining organized files and records in accordance with established guidelines.
  • Scheduling and managing a calendar for the organizations meeting spaces.
  • Handling incoming phone calls, documenting messages (if the intended recipient is unavailable), and forwarding information as necessary (via email, written memo, or verbally).
  • Greeting visitors and escorting them as needed, and coordinating with the organization's Security Manager for any required visit requests.
  • Monitoring, updating, and tracking inventory levels for office supplies essential to supporting the F-35 mission.
  • Collaborating with the Business Operations Directorate to facilitate the in-processing and out-processing of civilian, military, and contractor personnel.

Requirements:

  • Knowledge of the Defense Travel System (DTS), with the ability to assist in managing the DTS for the organization and utilizing it as instructed to process travel authorizations and vouchers.
  • Familiarity with the commercially available COTS Task Management Tool on which the JPO Task Management System, ETMS2, is based. Responsible for managing the organizations ETMS2 following the format outlined in the organizations operating instructions and training materials.

Experience:

  • A minimum of three (3) years of experience supporting senior leaders at DoD Headquarters in performing tasks similar to those listed in the PWS.

Education:

  • A preferred Associates degree or higher.

Other Requirements:

  • Active DoD Secret Clearance (or eligibility to obtain Secret Clearance within a specified time frame).

Desired Requirements:

  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment while supporting senior leadership in the F-35 JPO. The ability to work independently is essential.

This position is contingent on the candidate's ability to meet the physical and medical requirements as outlined for the role, including compliance with all relevant federal, state, and local regulations.
