Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Leasing Consultant to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in the leasing process, ensuring that potential tenants receive exceptional service while navigating their housing options. This position requires a strong understanding of property management and leasing practices, along with excellent communication skills to effectively negotiate and close deals.
Duties
- Assist prospective tenants with inquiries about available properties and leasing terms.
- Conduct property tours, showcasing features and amenities to potential residents.
- Manage the application process, including data entry and documentation for prospective tenants.
- Negotiate lease agreements and terms with applicants, ensuring compliance with legal regulations.
- Collaborate with property management to maintain accurate records of leasing activities using software such as OneSite.
- Provide support for Section 8 housing applications and ensure adherence to related guidelines.
- Engage in upselling additional services or amenities to enhance tenant satisfaction and retention.
- Maintain knowledge of local real estate trends and market conditions to provide informed recommendations to clients.
- Assist in coordinating move-in processes and facilitate communication between new tenants and property management.
Experience
- Previous experience in property management or real estate administrative roles is preferred.
- Familiarity with facilities management practices is a plus.
- Strong negotiation skills with the ability to effectively communicate lease terms and conditions.
- Proficient in data entry and record keeping, ensuring accuracy in all documentation.
- Knowledge of laws related to property leasing, including fair housing regulations, is essential.
- Experience working with Section 8 housing programs is advantageous but not mandatory.
