Construction Project Manager (PM)
Lu Engineers is currently seeking a F/T Construction Project Manager (PM) to join its building/commercial construction management team in Rochester, NY!

Lu Engineers provides environmental, transportation, and civil engineering, as well as construction project representation and management for Site, Building, Transportation, and Environmental projects statewide. We are currently accepting applications for an experienced CM to join our growing building/commercial construction management team. This role will be responsible for daily onsite client representation, management, and oversight of multi-prime contracts including diverse construction projects for state and federal clients, the City of Rochester, Monroe, Ontario, Wayne, and surrounding counties.
Applicants must have a background in providing daily onsite project management, including but not limited to, construction safety, quality control, and project contractor coordination of multi-prime contracts. Qualified candidates will possess strong management skills and experience providing owner oversight to ensure accurate and timely completion of all construction and administrative tasks for projects of varying size. The ability to create and maintain excellent working relationships with project owners, architects, design professionals, contractors, government officials, and others is essential. Duties & Responsibilities:
- Monitor/coordinate all project activity including safety, construction, schedules, and related items to ensure timely, quality completion of assigned projects.
- Prepare/complete/review daily project reports with photo documentation.
- Provide project status reports, financial reports, and project schedules.
- Coordinate RFI and monitor RFI resolutions with design/owner/vendor including potential cost changes.
- Monitor contractor submittals and review of shop drawings per design documents.
- Facilitate/chair weekly project status meeting with stakeholders.
- Prepare/provide/distribute meeting agendas and meeting minutes tracking issues, task assignments, budget, schedule, RFI, submittals, action items, and similar.
- Review subcontractor and vendor invoices/pay applications, and review/negotiate cost changes with owner/design/subcontractor.
- Ensure contractor and vendor submits closeout documentation including commissioning, warranty information, record drawings, final retainage payments, releases, and accounting related documents. Ensure final payments are received from client and appropriate invoices paid to subcontractors.
- Ability to perform reviews of bid documents, bid procedures, value engineering review, review of vendor/subcontractor qualifications, review of final estimates, labor, and material takeoffs, and related tasks.
- Willingness to travel for assigned projects within Rochester, NY, and surrounding areas including the Southern Tier.
Qualifications:
- Proficiency in MS Office, MS Project Scheduling, and associated CM software.
- Bachelor’s in Construction Engineering or equivalent preferred.
- Minimum five (5) years construction project management experience with commercial construction - municipal and private, including site, commercial building ground up, renovations, and utility projects.
- Team player with excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills, sound decision-making abilities, and mathematical/financial analysis skills.
- Ability to build and maintain excellent working relationships among all stakeholders including clients, design team, co-workers, etc.
Compensation:
- Salary commensurate with experience. Minimum: $85K/yr; Maximum: $105K/yr.
