This could be the role for you! Our client, a non-profit, located in NYC is searching for a Managing Director of Human Resources. The ideal candidate will have experience working with and supporting an executive team, while also mentoring their HR staff. The ability to influence and motivate, will ensure success in this role.
*4 days on-site with the option to work 1 day remote each week
*Report to the Head of the Agency
Responsibilities
- Provide input on critical decisions that impact people and culture
- Work to assess HR-related risks and impacts, offer solutions and recommendations, develop initiatives that help build the organization's culture
- Function as a strategic, human capital business advisor to the senior management team
- Develop and share critical processes, systems, compliance, and HR metrics with the executive team
- Develop initiatives, policies and programs to complement existing practices and create consistency across the organization
- Support leadership team in developing and implementing performance improvement system, including developing core competencies, metrics, and feedback process
- Oversee benefit and compensation plans to ensure cost efficiencies and attractiveness to retain top talent
- Oversee compliance, recruiting, and safety
- Lead HR team to focus on continual improvement initiatives across all areas of HR
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in human resources or management
- Master's degree preferred
- 7 years' of progressive HR experience; experience to include 5 years managing and mentoring a team
- Non-profit/mission based experience a must
- Experience reporting to and working with C-Suite
- Experience serving as the lead HR person
- Demonstrated history of fostering a positive culture that results in strong employee engagement
- Knowledge of US and NYC/NY State HR policies, regulations, legislation, etc.
- Bilingual (Spanish and English) a plus
- Experience with ADP a plus
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills - ability to influence, motivate, and coach line managers, and HR staff

Salary : $140,000 - $160,000
