Position Overview: We are seeking a dynamic and driven General Manager to lead and oversee the operations of our event rental business. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of leadership in a fast-paced, customer-centric environment. This role demands a strong decision-maker with excellent communication skills, the ability to drive revenue growth, and the expertise to delegate tasks effectively while maintaining a strong company culture. A hands-on, proactive approach to leadership is key, as well as some physical capability to support the operations on-site as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leadership & Culture Setting:
  • Establish and maintain a positive, high-performance culture rooted in teamwork, integrity, and customer service excellence.
  • Lead by example, promoting company values and fostering a work environment that encourages collaboration, respect, and accountability.
  • Regularly engage with staff to ensure alignment with company goals and objectives.
  • Revenue Generation & Financial Management:
  • Drive business growth by identifying new opportunities, optimizing pricing strategies, and improving sales processes.
  • Manage budgets, monitor P&L, and develop strategies to achieve revenue targets and cost efficiencies.
  • Develop and implement marketing and promotional strategies to increase visibility and bookings.
  • Operations & Delegation:
  • Oversee day-to-day operations, ensuring the highest standards of service, equipment quality, and timely deliveries.
  • Supervise staff and delegate tasks effectively, ensuring each team member’s role is clear and aligned with the business goals.
  • Monitor inventory levels, handle logistics, and maintain organized systems for equipment rental management.
  • Decision Making & Problem Solving:
  • Exercise firm decision-making abilities to resolve issues quickly and effectively, ensuring minimal disruption to operations and customer satisfaction.
  • Address and resolve customer complaints or concerns promptly and professionally, maintaining a strong focus on customer satisfaction.
  • Assess and adjust operational processes and workflows to optimize efficiency.
  • Physical Involvement:
  • Occasionally assist with physical tasks such as loading/unloading event equipment, setup/tear down, and other hands-on activities as needed.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a leadership role within a fast-paced environment, preferably in event rentals, logistics, or a related industry.
  • Strong track record of driving revenue growth and operational efficiency.
  • Exceptional decision-making skills and the ability to lead and motivate a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with clients, staff, and vendors.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously, while maintaining a high level of attention to detail.
  • Physical capability to assist with equipment handling and event setup/teardown when needed.
  • A flexible, hands-on approach, willing to pitch in during busy periods or emergencies.

Compensation:

  • Competitive salary based on experience.
  • Performance-based incentives/bonus.
  • Benefits package (health, dental, etc.) and paid time off.
  • Be prepared to support staff during peak periods, especially on event days, ensuring timely and smooth operations.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $60,000.00 per year

  • 10 hour shift
  • 8 hour shift

Experience:

  • Inventory control: 1 year (Preferred)
  • Warehouse experience: 1 year (Preferred)

Ability to Relocate:

  • Lubbock, TX 79423: Relocate before starting work (Required)
