We are looking for a dedicated Clinical Operations Assistant like you to join our Lubbock Heart team.
What You Will do in this Role:
- Coordinate daily assignments for ancillary support and nursing staff.
- Assist administration with tasks as assigned.
- Assist with Credentialing.
- Ability to multi-task.
- Manage multiple ancillary support departments, including nursing staff.
- Maintain strong working relationship with physicians and staff.
- Remain calm and functions as a team member during times of stress and crisis situations.
- Demonstrate competence in operating office machines (computers, copiers, fax machines, mail processing equipment, typewriters, etc.), and answering telephones.
- Follow OSHA and other standards for protection against blood borne pathogens.
- Follow employee health and other personnel and staffing policies.
- Maintain confidentiality of patient and hospital.
- Assist with patient care when needed.
- Attach holter/event monitor and assist with stress testing as needed.
- Float throughout the clinics/office and assist where needed, including the front desk, billing, and clinical areas.
- Responsible for a variety of duties including, routine clerical and administrative functions such as correspondence, scheduling appointments, organizing, and maintaining paper and electronic files.
- Other duties as required.
What Qualifications You Will Need:
- Bachelor’s Degree or a minimum of 3 years’ experience in a related area.
- At least five years medical office experience preferred.
- HIPPA Compliance.
- Clinical Operations.
- Patient Care Quality Standards.
- CMS/JCAHO Standards Compliance.
- Patient Experience.
- Electronic Health Records (HER) Software.
- Knowledge of medical office protocols and procedures.
- Ability to handle stress and staff crisis situations.
- Perform basic office skills including scheduling.

Lubbock Heart & Surgical Hospital specializes in the care of cardiac, orthopedic, nephrology, urology, and general medical patients. We are also a highly active inpatient center mainly centered on surgical procedures that include cardiothoracic, orthopedic, urology, and general surgery. We have a 24-hour Emergency Department with 5 fully equipped ED rooms, 4 fully operating OR rooms, 4 cardiac catherization labs with 1 electrophysiology room, 11-day surgery rooms, 58 acute care beds spread over three units, and 16 cardiac critical care rooms. We pride ourselves on giving the best overall care possible to our patients and on our family style atmosphere that includes everyone: patients and their families, physicians, and our employees.
