Description:
Plans, directs, facilitates and evaluates clinical services provided by the respiratory care department. The results of successful performance in this position is a well-integrated department utilizing a multidisciplinary approach and carefully individualized to meet the needs of each of its patients.
Supervises or carries out medical prescriptions for Respiratory Care and maintains adequate supplies and equipment. Must understand symptoms of respiratory diseases and be able to recognize ill effects of treatments and the corrective action to take. Must know combustible characteristics of compressed gases, their properties, etc. Must have general knowledge of isolation techniques, anatomy, and how to take blood pressures, pulse, respirations, etc. Shall participate in physician education, pulmonary rehabilitation, equipment evaluation, and repair. Responsible for major Respiratory Care functions.
Days and Shifts:
Monday – Friday 8:00am – 4:30pm or 4 10 hour days per week 7:00am – 5:30pm
No weekends

Requirements:
Supervisory experience preferred
State Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT or RRT)
National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC) registered
Graduate of accredited respiratory therapy program
BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP, Mandatory Abuse Reporter Certifications
Demonstrated ability to be self-directed with effective organizational, analytical, leadership, interpersonal and written skills required
Ability to read, speak, and write fluent English
