Med/surg
Days and Shifts:
- Works three 12-hour shifts per week from 6 AM – 6:30 PM
- Weekend rotation schedule: Works every 3rd Saturday and Sunday from 6 AM – 6:30 PM
- On-call rotation schedule: One call shift per pay period.
Description:
- Under limited supervision, plans, directs, and evaluates total nursing care and functions in one unit on a particular shift, including functioning in Charge Nurse role
- Responsible for orientation, training, and management of personnel
- Relates effectively with other shifts for continuity of care
- Maintains satisfactory relations with other departments
- Participates in all phases of education, maintenance of records, and upgrading of policies, procedures, and skills.
Requirements
Educational/Experience:
- Current Iowa licensure as a Registered Nurse
- Healthcare Provider BLS
- Mandatory Abuse Reporter Certification within 6 months of employment
- ACLS within 12 months of employment
- PALS within 12 months of employment
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English well
