2nd Shift Maintenance Technician

lives of their families. The 2nd shift Maintenance Technician supports our team through performing installation

and maintenance of our manufacturing machinery. The primary responsibilities will be to perform

preventive maintenance on various machines, ensure smooth operation of our machinery, and

troubleshoot equipment. Excellent problem-solving skills and a deep understanding of mechanics,

and fluid power are crucial to this role.

Responsibilities

• Promote Safety as the Number One Priority of all Lucas Milhaupt employees.
• Performs preventive maintenance inspections and service on machines.
• Thoroughly cleans machines, removing parts and reinstalling as necessary.
• Lubricates moving parts on machines to ensure effective performance.
• Orders and installs replacement parts for machines.
• Identifies the causes of unexpected breakdowns of machines and repairs broken machines quickly and efficiently.
• Documents work performed in the company’s CMMS utilizing tablets.
• Cleans, organizes, inventories, stocks, and maintains shop, parts, tools, and supplies.
• Collaborates with internal customers regarding new products being added and modifications that will be required.
• Ability to utilize Microsoft Office Outlook, Teams, and Word.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Physical Requirements

• Works prolonged periods standing and walking.
• Able to bend, stretch, push, pull, and move as needed to reach, clean, and service machinery.
• Must be able to visually inspect machines.
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to work at heights.
  
  

Education

• Some vocational or community college with related coursework or equivalent experience, required.
• Minimum 3 years mechanical experience.
