What are the responsibilities and job description for the Quality Data position at Lucas-Milhaupt Inc?
Position Summary:
We are seeking a temporary associate to support the Quality department during a transitional period. This role will be responsible for assisting with key quality tasks and audits while also serving as a mentor to a new SBS Intern. The ideal candidate has prior experience with our systems, quality procedures, and internal teams, and can contribute both through task execution and knowledge transfer.
Key Responsibilities:
Quality Support Coverage
- Assist with daily and weekly quality data entry, including:
- Yield Loss Reporting
- RCA tracking
- Corrective Actions & OFIs
- Customer Complaints
- Internal Audit Prep and Execution
- Maintain document control: updates, approvals, and retention practices
- Support Calibration activities and documentation
- Assist with the creation of Quality toolbox talks
- Assist with Verification of Effectiveness (VOE) of Quality actions
Mentorship & Intern Onboarding
- Guide the SBS Intern through onboarding:
- Introduce to Asana task/project management
- Walk through Lean systems and reports
- Facilitate introductions to cross-functional team members
- Serve as a consistent support contact throughout intern ramp-up/onboarding
Administrative Support
- Maintain quality-related task tracking in Asana
- Attend operations and cross-functional/Tier meetings as needed
- Participate in document retention blitzes and audits
- Scanning
Required Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a Quality or Operations Support role (preferably in manufacturing)
- Familiarity with Asana and basic quality documentation systems
- Strong communication and mentoring skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
- Comfortable facilitating introductions and supporting team engagement
