Temporary Packer

Job Summary

This position prepares finished products for packaging and shipment in accordance with standard packaging procedures, while maintaining quality standards and efficient production. The position is responsible for doing a final review of the products to ensure they are in good condition and updates the appropriate information within the AX system.

Duties Include

• Packing all regular and bulk jobs from the Value Stream in an efficient and timely fashion
• Weigh, label and prepare jobs for shipping.
• Work within the AX system to classify current jobs accordingly.
• Able to read and interpret Traveler.
• Follows all safety procedures, actively participate in the safety program, wear all PPE as required.
  
  

QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

• Strong attention to detail required
• Must have an ability to communicate with multiple levels within the organization
• Experience working with computers a plus; must be able to learn how to operate within the AX system
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs. on an occasional basis.
• Ability to stand at workstation for long periods of time.
• Ability to maintain a clean and safe working environment.
• Warehousing / Shipping experience a plus
• Packing skills a plus
• Micrometer and Caliper skills a plus

• High School diploma
