Description
Job Purpose: The Grease Operator will execute the delivery of daily batches requirements according to production schedules through the manufacturing of Lucas Oil Products from raw materials in compliance with company quality assurance specification requirements.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Maintain and operate grease vessels and other production equipment.
- Mix ingredients in vessels according to written process/ batch sheets.
- Ensure the correct ingredients, quantities and item numbers are used.
- Use various measuring devices to ensure an accurate and precise batch.
- Maintain clean equipment, complete production logs and report discrepancies.
- Verify gallon amounts and capacity of tanks before starting.
- Maintains a clean, safe and orderly work area.
- Perform other tasks as needed.
- communicate with co-workers and other supervisors.
Requirements
Required qualifications and skills:
- Ability to follow work instructions and adhere to standard operating procedures.
- Understanding of and the ability to abide by applicable OSHA regulations.
- Must possess basic math, analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Must be detail oriented.
Education/Certification/etc required:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- At least one year of related experience is required.
- Completion of on-the-job training may be substituted for educational requirements.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods working on feet and performing repetitive actions that entail frequent bending and stooping.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time.
- Visual acuity to read instructions and operate machines.
- Wear appropriate PPE, including but not limited to Respirators, Safety Glasses, protective gloves, protective clothing and hearing protection. Will require employees to be clean shaven (no facial hair) for proper fitting of respiratory PPE.
- Must be able to operate Forklift.
- Frequent exposure to hazardous and non-hazardous chemicals, fumes and high temperatures
