Position Overview
The Director is responsible for account management, driving the client services teams toward on-time and on-strategy completion of program deliverables and commitments, and providing supervision and guidance to account team members.
As a Director, you will:
Typical office hours - Monday through Friday, 8:30-5:30
Hybrid - Minimum of three days per week in the Sacramento office
Compensation
$120K/yr - $135K/yr

Position Overview
The Director is responsible for account management, driving the client services teams toward on-time and on-strategy completion of program deliverables and commitments, and providing supervision and guidance to account team members.
As a Director, you will:
- Lead and execute public affairs/strategic communications projects
- Independently manage client accounts and strategy and lead client strategy calls
- Demonstrate leadership and mentorship of junior and mid-level staff on client accounts to encourage their professional development
- Write content/documents including: proposals, strategic plans, client memos/correspondence, client performance reports, press releases, fact sheets, news advisories, social content, etc.
- Develop and monitor activity against client budgets and assist with projection of team hours for accounts
- Ensure the team is consistently delivering on time, high quality deliverables
- Consistently meet billable and capacity targets
- Manage client expectations and a multitude of simultaneous projects
- Deliver integrated programs (owned, earned, paid) to support strategy
- Support firm business development and marketing efforts
- Contribute to the firm’s culture through agency initiatives & events to support a collaborative and collegial work environment
- A minimum of six years of experience in public affairs, government affairs, journalism, lobbying, or related work
- BA/BS in a related field
- Experience in a public affairs/public policy agency strongly preferred
- Industry experience including a broad knowledge of concepts related to multiple industries, such as: energy, higher education, tourism, technology, health care, insurance and transportation
- Demonstrated track record of developing and executing successful strategic communications programs
- Excellent interpersonal and communications skills (e.g., verbal, written and over the phone)
- Superior organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams, drive performance, and foster a positive work environment
