The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) will be a strategic partner to the CEO and executive team, providing financial leadership, oversight, and operational engagement across the business. The CFO will be responsible for financial planning, forecasting, budgeting, cash flow management and modeling, risk management, tax planning and strategy, contracts / legal, and ensuring the company's financial health is maintained while supporting growth initiatives. This role is ideal for a finance leader with experience in project-based accounting and a deep understanding of how financial strategy aligns with business operations to maximize project performance and profitability. This position is full-time, working in the Wexford office.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Financial Leadership

Develop and execute financial strategies that align with the company’s short- and long-term business goals.
Provide insights and recommendations to drive profitability, efficiency, and scalable growth.
Serve as a key advisor to the CEO and executive leadership team on financial performance, investments, and operational initiatives.
Manage and monitor contracts / legal agreements, including project proposals and delivery, negotiations with customers and third-party purchasing negotiations.

Financial Planning & Budgeting

Lead the budgeting, forecasting, and overall financial planning processes with a focus on project-based budgets.

Monitor project budgets with focus on maximizing financial performance.

Implement financial controls and reporting systems to ensure accuracy and compliance with financial regulations.

Oversee cash flow management, financial risk assessment, tax planning and strategy.

Review and negotiation of contracts and proposals.

Operational & Business Engagement

Work closely with cross-functional teams to integrate financial planning into business operations. This role does not have direct HR nor IT reporting responsibility, but partners regularly with those functions.

Guide and monitor the Project Engineering and Sales teams while evaluating project performance, ROI and optimization of resource allocation including engineering resource / capacity planning.

Develop financial models to support strategic decision-making for product launches, market expansion, and operational efficiencies.

Financial Reporting & Compliance

Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting in compliance with GAAP and regulatory requirements.

Manage relationships with legal partners, external auditors, tax advisors, and financial institutions.

Establish and enforce internal controls to mitigate financial risks.

Requirements :

10 years of financial leadership experience, preferably within the software, technology, or SaaS industries.

Strong expertise in project-based accounting and financial planning for dynamic, growth-oriented companies.

Strong experience in managing and monitoring contracts / legal agreements, including project proposals and delivery, negotiations with customers and third-party purchasing negotiations.

Deep understanding of operational finance, with a track record of being hands-on and engaged with business operations.

Experience in corporate finance and cash flow modeling / management.

Knowledge of financial compliance, accounting standards (GAAP, IFRS), and tax regulations.

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

Exceptional leadership and communication abilities, with a collaborative mindset.
