Lucas Tree Experts is looking for a motivated individual to join our team as a Specialty Equipment Operator.

CDL A or B License preferred. Applicants must be able to operate various types of equipment (e.g., brush hog, brontosaurus mowers, jarraff, log loader, skidder/yanmar) and manually remove vegetation from work areas. Applicants must be willing to travel, able to work safely, lift 75lbs, learn how to operate a bucket, climb trees using ropes and saddle, attain appropriate industry certificates and licenses.

QUALIFICATIONS: 

            • Must be 18 years of age with a High School Diploma/GED/or equivalent.

            • Understanding of computer & electronic usage required.

            • Possess and maintain a valid driver’s license that is in good standing as defined by Lucas Tree Experts.

            • CDL A or B License preferred or must be willing to obtain one within the first 6 months of employment (this is paid for by Lucas Tree Experts).

            • Basic Mechanical Skills required.

            • Tree Experience required (position requires ground cutting with chain saw).

            • Jarraff/Sky Trim/Brush Hog experience needed.

            • Must be able to accept responsibility as well as follow written and verbal orders.

            • Must be punctual and reliable.

            • Previous mowing experience preferred.

            • Must be able to process mapping & have general map reading abilities.

            • Should be able to obtain and maintain first aid certification.

            • Must be able to pass the Electrical Hazards Program within the first 30 days of employment.

            • Must be able to work outdoors under varying and sometimes adverse weather and environmental conditions.  The position requires walking on uneven ground and lifting 75 lbs. on a regular basis.

            • Should be able to obtain and maintain licenses (i.e. Arborist, Pesticide) as required by the position (this is paid for by Lucas Tree Experts).

            • Lucas Tree requires the successful completion of a post offer Background Check with MVR.
