We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dispatcher to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in coordinating transportation logistics, ensuring timely and efficient movement of freight. This position requires strong communication skills, proficiency in transportation management systems, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Duties

• Manage the daily dispatch operations, ensuring all freight is scheduled and delivered on time.
• Utilize transportation management systems to track shipments and optimize routes.
• Communicate effectively with drivers, clients, and third-party logistics (3PL) providers to coordinate pickups and deliveries.
• Maintain accurate records through data entry, including shipment details and delivery statuses.
• Monitor freight movement using GIS technology to ensure compliance with transportation planning.
• Address any issues that arise during transit, providing solutions to minimize delays.
• Collaborate with team members to improve dispatch processes and enhance overall efficiency.

Qualifications

• Strong phone etiquette and communication skills for effective interaction with drivers and clients.
• Proficient in data entry with attention to detail for maintaining accurate records.
• Ability to work under pressure while managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
• A background in transportation planning or experience using GIS tools is a plus.

Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
