Key Responsibilities:

Tracking the delivery of, receiving, and checking patient specimens against order forms.

Accessioning specimens into the laboratory information management system (LIMS) to facilitate sample throughput.

Performing specimen processing under the direct and constant supervision of a licensed CLS.

Performing routine laboratory maintenance tasks such as instrument calibration and maintenance.

Maintaining an adequate level of supplies for the laboratory, which includes tasks such as ordering, receiving, unpacking, documentation and labeling of consumables and reagents, and stocking work areas.

Participating in quality control and quality assurance activities as relevant.

Performing any other administrative tasks to facilitate smooth clinical operations.
Requirements:

At least an associate degree in an area relevant to the laboratory. Experience working in a clinical laboratory would be a plus.

The ability to commit full-time to this role. Able to work a 5x8 schedule. Must be able to work weekends.

Must have a solid understanding of basic laboratory techniques such as pipetting and centrifugation.

Proficiency in computer skills and data management, including recording patient and specimen information.
