Construction Superintendent

Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Construction Superintendent to oversee and manage construction projects from inception to completion. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and in accordance with safety regulations and quality standards. This role requires strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of construction processes, and the ability to effectively communicate with various stakeholders.

Duties

• Supervise daily operations on the construction site, ensuring compliance with project specifications and safety standards.
• Coordinate and schedule subcontractors, labor, and materials to ensure timely project completion.
• Utilize project management software such as Prolog and HeavyBid for tracking progress and managing budgets.
• Conduct regular site inspections to monitor work quality and adherence to schematics.
• Collaborate with project managers on construction estimating, budgeting, and contract negotiations.
• Maintain accurate records of project progress, including daily logs and reports.
• Enforce OSHA regulations to ensure a safe working environment for all personnel.
• Resolve any issues or conflicts that arise during the construction process in a timely manner.

Skills

• Proficient in construction estimating and budgeting techniques.
• Familiarity with project scheduling tools such as Bluebeam.
• Strong supervisory skills with the ability to lead diverse teams effectively.
• Knowledge of contract management and compliance requirements.
• Experience with heavy construction equipment and methodologies.
• Ability to read and interpret schematics and blueprints accurately.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on achieving results.
• Strong communication skills for effective interaction with clients, subcontractors, and team members.
