About the job Senior-Level Technical WriterJob Title : Senior-Level Technical WriterLocation : Onsite - Redmond, WA (At least 3 days onsite / week)Duration / Start Date : 2 / 10 / 2025Salary Range : $52 - $57 hourlyCandidates with previous experience working at Microsoft Corporation, either as a full-time employee (FTE) or contractor, are strongly preferred.Role Summary : The main function of a Technical Writer is to write technical materials, such as equipment materials, appendices, or operating and maintenance instructions. A typical technical writer is responsible for organizing, editing and maintaining technical records and files.Responsibilities : Organize material and complete writing assignment according to set standards regarding order, clarity, conciseness, style and terminologyMaintain records and files of work and revisionsConfer with client to establish technical specifications and to determine subject material to be developed for publicationQualifications : 8-10 overall years of experience in the fieldTop 3 Hard Skills Required Years of ExperienceTechnical writing experience - 8 YOEAbility to write persona documents - 7 YOELegal writing experience - 1 YOE (does not need to have a ton of experience in this, but would need knowledge in this area)
