What are the responsibilities and job description for the Patient Care Coordinator position at Lucid Diagnostics?
PATIENT CARE COORDINATOR:
The Patient Care Coordinator will work with physician offices, hospitals, patients and internal customers to schedule patient appointments in a timely and accurate manner. They will provide product education and handle a wide variety of questions while providing a white-glove customer experience during the scheduling process. This position will work on-site at the Lake Forest, CA facility.
At Lucid Diagnostics, we believe early detection will make esophageal cancer a disease of the past. We're using next generation sequencing to fundamentally change the way esophageal precancer is detected. Our groundbreaking EsoGuard DNA test assesses genes from cells collected from the esophagus in a quick, non-invasive procedure. This gives clinicians the ability to detect disease before it progresses to cancer, all without the need for sedation. We're focused on making a difference in patient care and we are seeking ambitious team members who do the same.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Act as a key point of contact between Lucid Diagnostics and its customer base and patients.
- Work in a fast-paced environment responding to inbound and outbound activities using multiple modes of communication.
- Resolves routine customer and patient scheduling requests and questions in a timely manner.
- Professionally represents the department and the organization in accordance to established company/department standards.
- Speak with customers and patients in a courteous, friendly, and professional manner and in accordance with established departmental procedures.
- Schedules and confirms appointments and inputs patient information into company systems.
- Organizes workflow and appointment by reading and routing correspondence, collecting customer information, and managing assignments.
- Manages department schedule by maintaining calendars for department personnel, events, Lucid Testing Centers (LTCs), and satellite Lucid Testing Centers (sLTCs).
- Participate in activities designed to improve customer satisfaction and business performance.
- Work in multiple databases to research and resolve complex issues and questions.
- Respond promptly to the client’s needs or direct them to the appropriate party.
- Document all calls in a complete and thorough manner.
- Understand the set of structured questions and responses as they relate to the company products and ask for assistance, as needed.
- Adheres to all compliance and HIPAA standards.
- Performs other clerical duties as assigned.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required
- Associates or bachelor’s degree highly desired
- Bilingual Spanish/English skills preferred
- Previous experience in a healthcare scheduling position is preferred.
- Prior healthcare industry experience a plus
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent multitasking skills required
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite required
- Experience with Salesforce.com and Laboratory Information Systems preferred
- Must be flexible with tasks and schedules and have the ability to manage and adapt to change
- Adept with technology applications and services
- Must be a detail-oriented, organized self-starter with an ability to prioritize workload.
