The Director of Industrial Facilities will be responsible for ensuring the efficient operation, maintenance, and strategic expansion of Lucid’s state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Arizona. This role will oversee all aspects of facilities management, including building infrastructure, utilities, sustainability initiatives, and compliance with environmental and safety regulations. The ideal candidate will be a strategic leader with extensive experience in managing large-scale industrial or manufacturing sites.

The Director of Industrial Facilities will be responsible for ensuring the efficient operation, maintenance, and strategic expansion of Lucid’s state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Arizona. This role will oversee all aspects of facilities management, including building infrastructure, utilities, sustainability initiatives, and compliance with environmental and safety regulations. The ideal candidate will be a strategic leader with extensive experience in managing large-scale industrial or manufacturing sites.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the overall facilities operations, ensuring optimal functionality, safety, and efficiency of all plant infrastructure, utilities, and critical systems.
- Develop and execute a long-term facilities strategy to support production growth, including expansions, renovations, and sustainability initiatives.
- Manage a team of facilities engineers, maintenance professionals, and external service providers.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal environmental, health, and safety regulations.
- Lead preventative maintenance programs to minimize downtime and optimize production efficiency.
- Collaborate with manufacturing, supply chain, and production teams to ensure facilities capabilities align with operational needs.
- Drive sustainability initiatives, including energy efficiency, water conservation, and waste reduction programs.
- Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and cost control for all facilities operations.
- Manage vendor contracts, procurement, and negotiations for facility-related services.
- 10 years of experience in industrial facilities management, preferably within the automotive, aerospace, or high-tech manufacturing sectors.
- Proven leadership experience in overseeing large-scale manufacturing or industrial facilities.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) systems, as well as building infrastructure and maintenance best practices.
- Expertise in environmental, health, and safety (EHS) regulations and compliance.
- Experience with sustainability initiatives and energy management strategies.
- Strong financial acumen with experience managing facilities budgets and capital projects.
- Excellent problem-solving, leadership, and communication skills.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, facilities management, or a related field preferred; advanced degree or certifications (CFM, PMP, LEED) are a plus.
