Maintenance Planners are responsible for ensuring that all maintenance activities in the department are well-planned and executed in a timely and cost-efficient manner. They work closely with other maintenance personnel as well as operations and engineering teams to schedule regular preventive maintenance, handle emergencies, and conduct inspections of equipment and systems.
Role and Responsibilities
Maintenance Planners are typically required to have a high school diploma or equivalent, as well as several years of experience in a maintenance-related field. In addition, they should possess the following skills and qualifications:

Role and Responsibilities
- The main responsibilities of a Maintenance Planner include:
- Developing and managing detailed maintenance schedules and work orders
- Maintain ISO documentation and Compliance within the department
- Coordinating and scheduling all maintenance activities
- Ensuring that all maintenance work complies with safety regulations and industry standards
- Maintaining accurate records of maintenance performed, equipment condition, and maintenance costs
- Working with engineering and operations teams to plan and implement equipment modifications and upgrades
- Procuring necessary maintenance supplies and equipment
- Working with vendors and contractors as needed
- Participating in the development and implementation of maintenance policies, procedures, and best practices
Maintenance Planners are typically required to have a high school diploma or equivalent, as well as several years of experience in a maintenance-related field. In addition, they should possess the following skills and qualifications:
- Strong organizational and planning skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in using maintenance planning and scheduling software
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Teams, Smartsheet, Tableau
- Good knowledge of safety regulations and industry standards
- Familiarity with maintenance equipment and supplies procurement processes
- Strong Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions
- Strong problem-solving skills
