Role Summary
Lucid is seeking a Full-Stack Software Engineer to develop customer-facing and internal web applications. As a key member of Lucid’s growing team, the software engineer will be responsible for expanding and maintaining Lucid’s customer data viewing and analysis platform, as well as internal applications to support the Lucid manufacturing team. This role will require succeeding in a dynamic environment through thoughtful individual contribution and teamwork across multiple domains. The ideal candidate will be excited to work with a variety of different technologies and to learn new ones as needed. This role is mostly on-site, with flexibility for occasional remote work. Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S. We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment visa.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Develop web-application front ends using JavaScript / TypeScript, HTML, and CSS
- Develop back-end APIs and services in Python to support web applications
- Maintain high coding standards, using modern tools and technologies
- Participate in the software development process, including pull requests and peer review
- Work directly with stakeholders to develop features and plan development
Education, Qualifications and Professional Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related engineering field
- At least 2 years experience developing software in a professional environment, preferably as a full-stack software engineer
- Experience developing web applications or browser-based mobile applications in TypeScript or JavaScript, using modern frameworks such as React, Vue, and Angular
- General experience using Linux and git for development
- Ability to explore, understand, and improve an existing code base
- Helpful: Experience with Python, especially for back-end API development
- Helpful: Experience with AWS services
- Helpful: Familiarity with or desire to learn about research experimentation processes, scientific data visualizations, probability and statistics.
