SUMMARY:
The Senior Network Engineer is a key member of the enterprise technology/infrastructure team, responsible for managing the LucidHealth Network. This role involves collaborating with Implementation teams and providing service and support to ensure optimal performance for our Radiology practices. The Senior Network Engineer will oversee the functional architecture and management of our network, delegate tasks, and resolve network issues. This position requires extensive experience with enterprise networks, high-level managerial skills, and advanced project management abilities. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Network Management:
o Design, implement, and manage network infrastructure to support business operations.
· Network Operations:
o Evaluate existing network systems and recommend improvements or upgrades to enhance performance, reliability, and scalability.
· Collaboration: Work closely with Implementation & Infrastructure teams to integrate new technologies and solutions.
· Support: Provide high-level support and troubleshooting for network-related issues from L1, L2 and L3 peers.
· Task Delegation: Assign tasks to team members and ensure timely completion.
· Issue Resolution & Root Cause Analysis: Identify and resolve network problems to minimize downtime and ensure optimal performance.
· Security Policy and Posture: Implement and maintain network security protocols to protect against cyber threats
· Performance & Log Monitoring: Continuously monitor network performance and adjust as needed.
· Documentation: Maintain detailed documentation of network configurations, changes, and procedures.
· Mentorship: Mentor and train junior network engineers and other IT staff.
· Project Management: Lead network-related projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.
· Vendor Management: Liaise with vendors to procure network equipment and services.
IT INFRASTRUCTURE MANAGEMENT AND OPERATIONAL SUPPORT:
· Utilizes IT Operational support systems to include the Customer Support Center, Problem Management, Incident Management, Event Management, Configuration Management, Release Management, and other systems as required.
· Develops, implements, and/or maintains systems following IT Information Assurance policies, processes, procedures, and guidelines and industry standards to address security, privacy, and disaster recovery/business continuity needs to protect the organizations information and resources at established, defined levels.
· Follows established procedures to conduct reviews and audits of systems and information for assigned areas of responsibility.
· Maintains systems to keep information and resources secure and safe from known vulnerabilities to include updating applications and systems with security patches and code updates, applying appropriate virus protection, and testing changes before placing into production environments.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
· Experience:
o Extensive experience with enterprise network management and troubleshooting (10 years Enterprise Environment).
o Expert knowledge of routing and switching on diverse platforms. (10 years Enterprise Environment).
o Sound experience with firewall architecture, implementation and operation.
o Cloud (AWS, Azure) interconnectivity experience and troubleshooting.
o Cato, Zscaler or other (SASE) VPN experience.
· Skills: High-level managerial skills, advanced project management skills, and proficiency in network architecture, design and operations.
· Certifications: Relevant certifications such as CCNP, CCIE, or equivalent are preferred.
· Education: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
· Soft Skills: Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
ROLE REQUIREMENTS:
· 25% Travel (Majority of travel is existing Lucid datacenter and practice locations OH, WI, FL, and CT)
· Columbus Ohio or Tampa/ Sarasota, FL preferred home base.
· Experience with datacenter maintenance & support
