Job Description
Lucien's in Berlin, NJ is a beautiful, upscale banquet facility now hiring servers, Maitre D'/Captain, and Bridal Attendants for the upcoming seasons of 2025 and 2026. As we prepare for the increase of events we will be teaching and training new hires as well as present employees on the health and safety standards as well as company expectations. We will also be providing all staff with goals and guidelines that will keep both staff and guests feeling safe and secure. Experience in banquet serving is a plus, but not a requirement. As long as you are positive, responsible, hard working, and willing to learn, we are willing to teach you. The role of Bridal Attendant and Maître D' does however require minimally 2 years of banquet service experience. Our upcoming months are extremely busy with weddings, corporate events, and high-end private parties, so plenty of work and hours will be available. Responsibilities:
- Set and prep banquet space with linens, silverware, glassware and anything listed on the Banquet Event Order in a timely fashion
- Setup and breakdown of stations and buffets properly and uniformly
- Communicate well with your partners and your room Captain/Maître D'
- Taking accurate food and drink orders from our guests, relaying any information or special instructions exactly to the person responsible for the orders
- Carry, serve, and clear plated entrees from kitchen to table side safely
- Storing, cleaning, sanitizing, and caring properly for the equipment
- Following the state and federal mandates as well as our requirements on sanitizing and cleaning
- For Maître D'/Captain- Coordinate with management and Bridal party/Guest of Honor to execute the Banquet Event Order. Place and manage staff in the proper positions for successful execution of the expectations.
- Bridal Attendant- Coordinate with the Maître D' or management on the bridal parties needs and movements. Wait on the Guest of Honor/Bride, Groom, and Bridal Party fulfilling their orders and assisting them with any help they may require.
Work Requirements:
- At least 18 years of age
- Good communication skills
- Able to stand and work on your feet for 8 hours
- Ability to lift and carry up to 30 lbs
- Work well with others in a fast paced team environment
- Must be punctual and ready for work upon arrival
- Outgoing and approachable attitude with a willingness to help
- Reliable transportation
