Through fundraising and grantmaking, the Foundation drives scientific research, innovation, and policy change that will improve care, advance cures, and reform healthcare systems for this and future generations.
MAIN FOCUS : Writing, research, and project management of our gift acknowledgement letters–and writing to support fundraising for Stanford Medicine Children’s Health.
LOCATION : Palo Alto, CA (hybrid); the successful candidate for this role will be based in the Bay Area.
WHAT YOU'LL DO...
As a member of the Foundation’s Content Digital team, the Writer and Program Manager will ensure that donors are warmly and promptly thanked for their generosity—and inspired to continue their giving. Your work will support one of the top children’s hospitals in the nation and some of the most successful fundraisers in the industry.
You’ll report to the Senior Director of Content Digital, creating powerful communications to deepen connections with philanthropists across the Bay Area (and beyond). A typical day will have you applying exceptional writing skills to create powerful, highly customized letters; formidable organizational skills to manage the review, approval, and tracking of gift acknowledgment letters; and flexibility and diplomacy to collaborate with leaders across children’s health and fundraising.
Your persuasive writing skills and science expertise will also be put to use crafting proposals, case statements, magazine articles, and much more – all in the service of ensuring that resources never stand in the way of the best possible health for all kids and moms.
The compensation range for this role is $112k-120k annually.
YOU'LL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR...
Acknowledgements :
- Track gifts requiring acknowledgements from request to completion
- Adopt voice and tone of various leadership senders
- Research gift impact and donor history, incorporating key findings into letters
- Write warm, compelling letters—leveraging existing templates and creating new content
- Take acknowledgment letters through multi-step review process
- Print and mail letters, and record and file completed materials
