Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Cleaner to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and hygiene in various environments, ensuring that all areas are spotless and welcoming. This role is crucial in providing a safe and pleasant atmosphere for both employees and visitors.
Duties
- Perform general cleaning tasks, including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming floors.
- Clean and sanitize restrooms, kitchens, and common areas.
- Empty trash bins and dispose of waste properly.
- Maintain cleaning supplies inventory and report any shortages.
- Follow established safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment.
- Assist with special cleaning projects as needed.
- Report any maintenance issues or hazards to the supervisor promptly.
- Sort and rinse dirty dishes, glass, tableware and other cooking utensils and place them in racks to send through dish machine.
- Sort and stack clean dishes. Carry clean dishes to cook’s line and other proper storage areas. Rewash soiled dishes before delivering.
- Change dishwater in dish machine as required by the systems instructions
- Wash pots, pans and trays by hand when needed.
- Remove trash and garbage to dumpster.
- Set up or break down dishwashing area.
- Clean and roll/unroll mats.
- Fill/empty soak tubs with cleaning/sanitizing solutions.
- Sweep/mop floors.
- Assemble/disassemble dish machine.
- Sweep up trash around exterior of restaurant and garbage dumpster.
- Conduct general restaurant and restroom cleaning as directed.
- Wipe up any spills to ensure kitchen floors remain dry.
- Notify manager any time dish machine wash or rinse cycle falls below safety standard temperatures.
- Do not touch dirty dishes before touching clean dishes without washing hands first.
- Report to work on time in a neat and clean uniform. Well-groomed hair and personal hygiene are essential.
