Site Mobile Equipment Mechanic I

We're currently seeking a Site Mobile Equipment Mechanic to join our Fairfield Plant team!  In this role, you will perform maintenance and repair mobile equipment, be involved in extraction, crushing, and conveying of aggregate stone products. You will also maintain a clean and safe work environment. 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS                                                                                                                                       

• 80% of job: Preventative Maintenance 

• 10% of job: Reactive Maintenance  

• 10% of job: Equipment Management   

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS 

Education:  High School Diploma or GED 

Work Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience troubleshooting and repairing mobile equipment. Fundamental skill in systems operation, testing and adjusting of hydraulic, electrical and powertrain systems.

ENVIRONMENT OR PHYSICAL WORKING CONDITIONS 

Ability to work under conditions of: frequent exposure to dusty conditions and the full range of weather conditions; frequently in, on, and around quarry high walls and pit; extended periods working from elevated positions or in tunnels. 

Competitive hourly pay (biweekly). Benefits start day 1 of employment and include:

Pay starts at $23.84 per hour but may increase upon experience evaluation by management.
