What are the responsibilities and job description for the Custom Applicator position at Luckey Farmers?
Luckey Farmers, Inc. seeks a full-time custom applicator for work in our agronomy division. The ideal candidate will have a passion for agriculture and must be safety-minded.
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Operate high clearance sprayer and machinery with precision
- Apply fertilizer and crop protection products
- Calibrate spray equipment
- Clean and maintain equipment
- Utilize agronomy software to ensure 4R nutrient stewardship goals are met (right rate, right source, right time and right place)
GENERAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:
· Experience working in agriculture and operating farm equipment, spray application – highly preferred.
· A passion for farming, equipment, and leading a successful team.
· A positive and optimistic approach to your work.
· Strong personal motivation along with strong moral values and a commitment to the betterment of the operation.
· Ability to pay attention to the details.
· Ability to work longer hours involved in farming especially during peak seasons.
· Valid driver’s license. CDL preferred but not necessary.
· Must be able to lift or move up to 100 lbs.
