Fiber Splicer

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Splicer to join our team, responsible for the installation and maintenance of telecommunications infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have experience working with various types of cabling systems and possess a strong understanding of both electrical and network infrastructure. This role requires hands-on work in diverse environments, including climbing and using power tools to ensure optimal connectivity and performance of telecommunication systems.

Duties

• Install, splice, and terminate fiber optic cables according to industry standards.
• Read and interpret schematics to execute installations accurately.
• Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively to complete tasks safely and efficiently.
• Perform routine maintenance on existing infrastructure to ensure reliability.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to network connectivity or equipment performance.
• Climb ladders or use lifts to access elevated work areas for installation or repairs.
• Collaborate with team members to build out IT infrastructure projects as needed.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to safety protocols at all times.

Skills

• Strong ability to read and understand schematics related to electrical systems.
• Experience using hand tools and power tools safely in various settings.
• Knowledge of network infrastructure principles and practices.
• Ability to climb ladders or work at heights safely as required by job duties.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on detail-oriented tasks.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
