Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Splicer to join our team, responsible for the installation and maintenance of telecommunications infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have experience working with various types of cabling systems and possess a strong understanding of both electrical and network infrastructure. This role requires hands-on work in diverse environments, including climbing and using power tools to ensure optimal connectivity and performance of telecommunication systems.
Duties
- Install, splice, and terminate fiber optic cables according to industry standards.
- Read and interpret schematics to execute installations accurately.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively to complete tasks safely and efficiently.
- Perform routine maintenance on existing infrastructure to ensure reliability.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to network connectivity or equipment performance.
- Climb ladders or use lifts to access elevated work areas for installation or repairs.
- Collaborate with team members to build out IT infrastructure projects as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
