Car Rental Bookkeeper / Office Manager
We’re looking for a highly organized bookkeeper to lead our administrative operations. In this multifaceted full-time role, you’ll be responsible for office operations, maintaining accurate books, streamlining systems, and ensuring our back office administrative tasks are fully taken care of. The ideal candidate is a meticulous professional with excellent communication skills who is passionate about growing a small business. If you have bookkeeping experience at a car rental or auto dealership that is a major plus.

Bookkeeper Responsibilities
- Establishing different accounts
- Maintaining records of financial transactions by posting and verifying
- Defining bookkeeping policies and procedures
- Developing systems to account for financial transactions by establishing a chart of accounts
- Maintaining subsidiary accounts by posting, verifying and allocating transactions
- Reconciling entries to balance subsidiary accounts
- Maintaining a balanced general ledger
- Preparing a trial balance for the accountants
- Preparing financial reports by collecting, analyzing and summarizing accounting for information
- Ensuring compliance with federal, state and local legal requirements
- Monitoring for variances from the previous years
- Advising management on compliance needs
- Assisting in financial activities
- Lead back office process, including day-to-day operations, in collaboration with the general manager and other business needs
- Streamline car rental systems, including organizing filing systems, ordering office supplies, maintenance, scheduling meetings, and preparing financial statements
- Make sure the businesses accounting practices & policies are adhered to and reflect our company’s high standards
- Communicate with third-party vendors, contractors, service providers, and customers as a professional representative of our management team
- Perform additional office administration duties, as needed i.e. ensure registrations are paid, ensure safety checks are being completed, maintain spare key box & logs
Bookkeeper Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or related discipline preferred
- CPA is desirable
- Previous bookkeeping experience required
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment
- Experience in different software’s is a plus, we use a rental software and QuickBooks Desktop Pro
- Proficient computer skills including experience with Microsoft Office products

Pay: $40,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
