Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Kennel Assistant to join our team. Duties
- Provide daily care for animals, including feeding, watering, and exercising dogs.
- Clean and maintain kennel facilities, ensuring a hygienic environment for all animals.
- Assist with animal restraint during veterinary procedures or grooming sessions.
- Monitor the health and behavior of the animals, reporting any concerns to management.
- Handle dogs safely and effectively, using proper techniques for animal restraint when necessary.
- Support dog training initiatives as directed by senior staff members.
- Maintain accurate records of animal care and any incidents that occur during shifts.
- Assist with pet grooming tasks as needed to ensure the well-being of the animals.
Requirements
- Previous experience in veterinary settings or kennels is preferred but not mandatory.
- Strong skills in dog handling and animal care are essential.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting as required (up to 50 pounds).
- Knowledge of basic animal restraint techniques is advantageous.
- Familiarity with dog training methods is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.

- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays if needed.
