SUMMARY: The Sales Trainer will assist the Director of Sales Training to develop, design, rollout, facilitate, and track all training programs related to Group Sales associates, and provide focused support for specific areas. Field Sales Training Manager will also monitor progress and training effectiveness through Quality Assurance Programs and Sales Office visits. This is a hybrid position, candidate must be located in the Phoenix/Scottsdale area.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Primary duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following.
- Conduct a 7 day New hire virtual training via Microsoft Teams
- Provide feedback and coaching to new hires
- Achieves sales training operational objectives by contributing sales training information and recommendations to strategic plans and reviews; preparing and completing action plans; implementing production, productivity, quality, and guest-service standards; resolving problems; identifying trends; determining sales training system improvements; implementing change.
- Assist with and conduct facilitation of new hire training sessions inclusive of all policies and procedures, sales techniques, pricing and offerings, and booking requirements for the Sales Department. Virtual or In person.
- Analyze metrics to measure progress and to evaluate effectiveness of training including current sales result benchmarks and post evaluation of retraining efforts, assessments, quality assurance programs, and trainer surveys.
- Monitor sales calls to determine skill level of reps and specific skill gaps to address the training needs; deliver the needed retraining
- Maintain communications with new hires and current reps to grow and develop the Sales Representatives’ abilities from day one through the life cycle of their employment to ensure that Sales Representatives have the resources needed to succeed.
- Assists the company’s Sales Leadership Team in developing strategies and training programs that meet organizational goals within a changing environment (i.e. the roll out of new booking systems, pricing and offerings, etc.)
- Must be available for coaching and questions from sales employees.
- Works with the Director of Sales Training to develop area specific, supplemental training curriculum to enhance the overall sales program including but not limited to training manuals, case study materials, multimedia visual aids, computer tutorials, and reference materials.
- Develop and design Job Aides. Create clear, visually engaging, and easy-to-use resources such as quick guides, checklists, FAQs, scripts, and flowcharts tailored to sales processes.
- Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.
- Ability to work extended workdays and travel to support business needs.
- Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS: Sales Trainers possess a highly developed sense of customer service and interpersonal skills including high integrity, respect for all individuals (customers, vendors, and employees), solid communication skills, strong critical and analytical thinking skills, and appreciation of diversity (thought, ethnic, gender, etc.).
Training Managers must be strong team players and people developers and possess strong presentation, interpersonal and organizational skills. Sales trainers should also possess strong computer skills, including proficiency in Word, Excel and PowerPoint, Zoom, and Microsoft TEAMS.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE: 1 year(s) of live selling experience. 1 years of virtual or live training experience. Relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and experience is also acceptable.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
WORK ENVIRONMENT: While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works in an office environment where moderate levels of noise, dust and activity can be expected. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Remote office space is required to conduct virtual trainings. (i.e – desk, fast speed internet)
Salary : $65,000 - $70,000
