Job Description
The Registered Medication Aide will provide direct care to residents, including administering medications, performing diabetic insulin checks, and providing basic nursing and ADL assistance. The ideal candidate will be a team player who is able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks efficiently.
Responsibilities:
- Administer medications and perform diabetic insulin checks under the supervision of a licensed nurse.
- Provide basic nursing and ADL assistance to residents, promoting independence and autonomy.
- Efficiently report incidents and changes in residents' condition to supervising nurses.
- Participate in ISP conferences and contribute to the development of individual services plans.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Completion of a recognized Nurse Aide Training Program and certification as a Registered Medication Aide with the Virginia Board of Nursing.
- Current CPR/BLS certification.
- 1 year of long-term care experience preferred.
